Just fucking lol

You would think that, an online saving account website, would want to do everything it could to improve password security. Well, Nationwide Building Society (a building society I swear by – usually) MySave accounts have the following (pointless?) restriction on passwords:

* contain no spaces or special characters (like $ or &),

My password had a . (dot) in it, as was rejected. Seems I can ONLY use letters and numbers.

A password that includes punctuation is considered strong by most generators and checkers, so why would Nationwide add this restriction?

What a fucking joke!
